David Barker has become a favorite uncle to me. He is friendly, very complimentary and always asking me about my family. He was comfortable from the very beginning. We had a few difficulties with his slides and being about the see them while the presentation was being recorded. When we figured that out we were in for a treat. David wowed us all. He presented his content standing up and with creativity and interaction. we sat behind and engaged with his presentation (you'll hear us react and make comments). It was a delight to work with David, he was very prepared and organized. :) In this presentation you are going to learn about evolution, what it is and what it is NOT. It was a great presentation.

Livia arrived a half an hour early, right when we were starting our dinner break. :) She waited patiently. She also brought with her a basket full of things. It was exciting and brought in much curiosity - let's get to the presentation right away! Of course, we couldn't. :( After getting mic'd up and camera ready we finally got to the presentation. She talked about many different ideas she used to help her family get prepared for the day. She also talked about books she used and ideas for day time and evening. I was impressed. She brought me into her life and I wanted to become a part of her family too. :) She shared great ideas that I know you'll enjoy too. I especially loved the "Power Up Chair" and the "Mom and Me Journal." Tammy is very cheerful and happy and easy to visit with. In fact Dave, our producer, had to stop us from talking so we could get started on the recordings. We laughed over that one for some time. Tammy's message was one of standing strong for the Lord. She shared some great stories about sharing the gospel wherever she goes, even with the taxi driver. During the interview she shared a sacred experience of how the Savior helped her give him her pain during labor. The painting above us reminded her of this experience. Interviewing Aneladee was a pleasure and a treat! She was super interactive, easy to talk to, a good listener and a great presenter. It was fun to learn what she was presenting and I enjoyed her physical touch and desire to share. Aneladee taught us about how burnout happens and what to do when we realize that we are in the corner or burn out. I especially enjoyed learning about the roles of the frontal cortex and how the wrong hormone diminishes these trait or roles. The crowning conclusion was the highlight of it all. I'll let you discover that on your own. :) A hint: she taught us two easy ways to get out of burnout. Molly was very upbeat and cheerful. She is easy to talk to and fun. She had a few questions about the commercial and what to put in it, it was fun to brainstorm with her. Her message is on the principles of order. She talked about the difference between principles and systems by defining them both. I love the study of principles and therefore got really into the presentation. I liked how each of her principles were true principles - statements of truth and not just single words or values. She gave some great advice for keeping order in our homes and in our minds. You'll enjoy this presentation. Chris and Melanie are a joy to work with. They came into the studio a little hesitant but their questions were answered and they were immediately at ease. They were very well prepared. They asked Thom and I to participate in a role play to set up their presentation - it was great and a little uncomfortable because I'm not an actor and didn't know the script, but we had a good time. Their message was a great one for all families. We learned about Family Leadership Counsels, what they are, how to have them and how to over come some of the problems that may arise. Their interview, where I asked them personal questions, was one of my favorites. They answered the questions beautifully, but I was so impressed with how they lead their family, their yearly traditions and I especially loved how they kept a record of their traditions. Check it out! Jeff was our first interview, he was fun to talk to and I loved it when he smiled - his whole face lit up. His message is a great one for homeschoolers and educators, non-verbal communication. He showed us some video clips and he put me on the spot a few times. I didn't feel like I was going to get the answers correct when he asked me to identify the winners, but he put me at ease and I was able to guess and got them all correct. His slides and videos really helped this presentation come alive. :) |
